In Canada ,as in many cultures throughout history ,spirit guides have taken many forms. The stone sculptures from Canada made a lasting impression as the were for the common good of directing lost travelers to the nearest village .How compassionate was that we can only imagine ! My career has led me to create ceramic animal kingdoms , both limestone and wood figures and animals and works in plaster and bronze also. To continue the story these were all spiritual pieces in a sense and not formal exercises including a 15 foot tall PVC and found object sculpture that exploded to the stars ,well almost !lol Lately my mind wanders to sculptures created 2 dimensionally but could be transferred into physical objects as I have a terrific sense of the interactions between positive and negative areas while not losing the emotional dimension while lost in the artistic zone. Tis not easy but occasionally the universe provides the magic along with who knows whatever forces surrounding us. I bet that you have a handle on this concept too I hope. For sale are 2 mixed media works on black acid free paper .Lightfast materials were used and sprayed with coats of Archival UV fixative and I suggest framing with UV Glass and no direct sunlight.
