Spirituality ana illusions to God with Vincent's orange sun hallo alluding to his early religious life as a minister are on full blown display here. The surrounding small colored semi -mosaic colors testify to his immersion into his own inner world ,yet exploring the passions that he had in pure observations of nature. Why he woke up at 5 am to even draw the cows and the workers in the fields testified to his devout passions ! Harmonious colors with his trusted invented dog named "Genius" by his side conveyed a serenity that I wanted to portray as so many horribly tragic elements are always portrayed in his life story. Here his imaginary wife Odette ,is back in the red house on the hill intensely singing away and playing the accordion while her husband is out doing his thing. Vincent isn't very detailed as there's an other worldly aspect to his image that has grown incredibly richer over time. My wish for the other symbols and colors here was to achieve the same effect. Oil on canvas -I will pay shipping and taxes in the US. People have commented that they see his work reflected in mine but I can assure you that this wasn't intentional. Picasso said artists had fathers and mothers so thank you grandpa Vincent when I was age 12 and copied your Dr.Gatchet portrait as it helped immensely . But 15 years ago I felt that my pen and hand were the same and that was a true spiritual moment for yours truly.
